about me.

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I'm Lindsay.

An East Coast girl transplanted to Hawaii (and now Florida, soon to be Boston, this summer!), all thanks to my husband's job in the Navy.
Madly in love with my husband, Chris.
We welcomed our son, Silas Kai, into our family in August 2012.
Happiest with paint under my nails or my 7' 2" surfboard under my feet.
One of seven kids and auntie to twelve awesome kiddos!
I love bacon and I love Jesus even more.

I've been blogging for almost three years now. I started this blog in March 2009, when Chris and I got married and moved across the country. We wanted to keep my friends and family updated on our adventures as we road-tripped across America and settled in on this island. It gradually grew into something more than that and has become a passion of mine. I love the community, love writing and sharing with you, and am so thankful for the friends I've met through this blog. Mahalo for reading and alooooha!

  14. I've been following you on instagram for a while now.. and I just discovered we have quite a few things in common: we both come from large families - I'm the baby from a family with 8 kids, I have 19 nephews and nieces, I grew up in Romania and moved here almost 5 years ago... my hubby wants to be in the military, too, but he's not a citizen yet, so he's waiting for that.. :) I like the way you write, I'll deff come back! :) Have a great week!

I didn't realize you were that great of a photographer either. I know where to go when I want some family shots taken :) I look forward to following your blog! You're amazing!
